OTTO’s Status Regarding COVID‐19: Updated March 31, 2020
Today, March 31st, the Governor of Illinois extended the existing stay‐at‐home order
from April 7th until the end of April. This Executive Order directs non‐essential
businesses to close, bans all gatherings greater than 10 people and orders the majority
of citizens to stay home.
OTTO remains open and fully functional during this shutdown. This order exempts
essential businesses and due to the markets we serve and important parts we
manufacture, OTTO is deemed an essential business.
OTTO is a highly vertically integrated company and manufactures its end products, as
well as the internal components, in‐house at our facilities in Carpentersville, IL. We
believe this offers significant value to our customers and is an advantage compared to
companies that manufacture outside of our borders.
Our supply chain remains stable and we anticipate we will be able to meet our
customer’s requirements. We have fully implemented all precautions as directed by the
CDC to protect our employees.
OTTO is constantly monitoring the situation and will adjust as needed. At present, we
are fully operational and plan to remain so.
For OTTO, it is business as usual. We continue to manufacture the parts our customer’s
need and critical products for people and equipment on the front line fighting the virus.
